Věra Jourová served as European Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency from 2019 to 2024, working at the intersection of rule of law, democratic safeguards, media freedom, disinformation and digital rights. As Chair of Democracy27, she brings European institutional experience and a focus on how democracy can listen, correct course and work better for citizens in everyday life.
